“The road to victory leads straight through Rockingham County. I’ve been campaigning hard there since I got into this race, talking about my plans to stop wasteful Washington spending,” said Kelly Ayotte, of Nashua, the state’s former Attorney General. “Grassroots support is what will make the difference in this election. In an attempt to hide from his own liberal positions, Bill Binnie launched negative false attacks against Kelly Ayotte on radio and television. “Kelly Ayotte is a long-time friend of the Queen City. As Attorney General, she fought to make Manchester and New Hampshire a safer place to live and raise a family,” said Mayor Ted Gatsas. “When I was State Senate president, I had an opportunity to work directly with Kelly. I can say this from personal experience: she’s a tough leader who gets results. That’s exactly what Washington needs, and that’s why I’m backing Kelly for Senate.”

Elena Kagan is unqualified to serve on the Supreme Court. From the start, I’ve had serious concerns about her nomination. Coming from a military family, I remain profoundly troubled by Kagan’s efforts to bar military recruiters from Harvard Law School.

Ayotte for Senate today renewed its call on Paul Hodes to come clean and definitively say where he was when the U.S. House recently voted on legislation to extend unemployment benefits. The Concord Monitor reports that Hodes declined yesterday to disclose his whereabouts when he recently missed a full day of votes – including final passage of jobless benefits, an issue that Hodes played politics with for months.
